Choosing Hope

Choosing Hope is a walk of honour and remembrance in support of bereaved families who have experienced the loss of their baby. Each walk is followed by a very special remembrance service. These are held annually around October 15th, International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

We invite you, your family, friends, and work colleagues to take part in one of our walks in honour of a baby you hold close to your heart. Join us for a beautiful day out at one of our event locations or consider taking part in our national Choosing Hope - Walk Your Way virtual event.

Our Inaugural Choosing Hope Walk was held on the Central Coast, NSW in 2016. Created by our volunteers, Trish and Dave Thomas, in honour of their babies Caiden + Nevaeh. With their vision and passion, the event is now one of the favourites on the Bears of Hope calendar and has inspired other families to hold their own version of Choosing Hope in locations across Australia.

“The day is done beautifully with such hope love and respect. I am so glad there is something like this to recognise the babies that are no longer here and talk to people that have gone through the same thing and to know that you are not alone. These precious little babies will never be forgotten.” – Choosing Hope Guest 2019
