Event Q&A’s

• When do Online Registration close?

  • Approximately 2 weeks prior to the walk date. On the day tickets can be purchased after this time.

• What does Online Registration include?

  • Registration includes walk, shuttle bus return (where necessary) and flower release service/remembrance card service (please note flower release is only occurring in selected locations).

    Flowers are allocated for all pre-registered adults only.

• Can I register more than one person at a time through Online Registration?

  • Yes. You can register multiple adults & Children on a single registration form. Each adult will be provided with their own fundraising page.

• What happens after I register?

  • After you have registered online, you will receive a confirmation email (check your junk mail if nothing has appeared on your inbox after an hour). This email will confirm your purchase/registration, receipt of payment and fundraising information.

• Do I need to fundraise as well as buy a ticket?

  • Your registration fee covers your participation in the event and the costs of managing and putting on the Choosing Hope event. Fundraising in addition to purchasing a ticket is what makes a real difference! Every dollar raised will help continue to keep all Bears Of Hope services fee-free.

• How much of the money raised goes to Bears Of Hope and where will my funds go?

  • 100% of the money raised goes directly to Bears Of Hope - so make your walk count and fundraise to help keep support resources & support services fee free.

    For every $100 raised a Bear Of Hope will be donated in honour of a baby special to you. Funds raised will also be utilised in keeping our support services free & accessible to families across Australia.

• Do I need to check in on the day?

  • Yes. On arrival please send 1 person from your group to confirm your attendance. If you would like your babies name read out at the ceremony please ensure this is provided to our volunteers at the registration desk.

• Is Registration available on the day?

  • Yes. Registration is available on the day at the follow prices:

    • Adults – $25
    • Children (3-17) – $10
    • Children (2 and under) – Free

    Please note there are no guarantees a flower will be available for release for on the day registrations. Your baby’s name can still be read out at the service.

• Will merchandise be sold at the event?

  • Yes - at selected locations. There will be a Bears Of Hope tent where you will be able to purchase various merchandise.

• Do I have to wear a Choosing Hope T-shirt?

  • No. Choosing Hope T-shirts are entirely optional to wear on the day. However, if you would like to wear our shirt, you can purchase from our online shop, on the day of your event (limited numbers) or fundraise for a free T-shirt by raising over $150 through your online page. Please refer to our Fundraising Guidelines in the menu bar for further details on incentives.

• What if my walk has a different end location from where it starts?

  • There will be a free shuttle bus to take you back to the starting point after the service.

• What if there is bad weather on the day of my walk?

  • Bears Of Hope reserves the right to cancel or postpone a walk due to safety concerns. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for further information.

• My walk is over; can I still order my free incentive?

  • Incentive orders can be made up until the 31st October.

• How do I connect my fitness tracker to my fundraising page?

• Should I update my page bio?

  • Story sharing is an important part of fundraising and creating awareness. Share with your community why taking steps during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness is important to you. Read more about editing your fundraising page here.

• My Fundraising page says Walk Your Way, can I still attend an in-person event?

  • Creating a fundraising page via Choosing Hope - Walk Your Way DOES NOT include entry to our in-person events. Tickets can be purchased separately. Head here and select your chosen location to purchase tickets for one of our many walk locations or purchase one on the day!
